Busse's tend to go up in value when the production stops.
This is not true for every model.
At the least, they keep their value, even if you use them.
Now, the older models are worth much much more, both because they have been out of production so long, and production numbers were lower back then.
I think with current models, the parameters have changed a bit, because they make so many more of most models.
That is not true of every model also. Some very limited releases, which go up immediately in value, then seem to plateau. However, people use these knives hard, and eventually there will be fewer to be found.
As to leather sheaths, go to the Bussecombat.com website, there are a handful listed. All are great.
There are also some great makers on here as well who will pop in.
Leatherman, Chuddy Bear, Mikeymoto, and many many more. Others will post more for you to consider. Most of the leather benders are members here, so they are part of the family.
The hole by the choil is called a "Talon Hole" an it is a trade marked feature. On some of the knives (especially the straight handled versions) you can get a sharpened knuckle (holy terror) attached there. Not sure if that is why it is called "talon" hole.
But Most Busse's have it. If you see a non Busse with one, point it out on here, so Jerry can let them know it is trademark protected.
welcome!
