First question What is the correct pronunciation of khukuri?
Number 2 since I don't own one would the WWW3 be a good first buy and if so how much do they cost?
Thanks for any help you can give.

Good questions: I'll defer to the members here, except to spell out the correct pronunciation (as I was taught it by Lalit):

"KOO-kuri" with the accent on the KOO.

As for the best "first KOO-kuri", what do you all think?

Depends on intended use.
But, the World War model is probably the best all-around. I would recommend it for a first purchase. I would also recommend buying the model with the wood handle.
Just my .02.

I have to agree with Mike, I think the World War is probably the best all-around khuk. However, the Panawal would be my preference if the khuk is going to be put to heavy use -- such as chopping.

The WWW3 sounds interesting for me, I looked at the other posts about it, but I couldn't find the price. Can anybody help?

The WWIII is a "special project" and not a standard model. It is just now in the intermediate stages of production, if I understand Craig's posts correctly.
It is basically a WW model with a micarta handle, blued blade and kydex sheath. The final cost has not yet been announced.
If you want a good khukuri NOW, I recommend the World War model. Either Craig or KnifeOutlet should have them in stock.
The World War will slice, chop, pound, dig, and defend. It will also amaze your friends and make you popular with girls (oops, I may be stretching it a little there,)
Seriously, it is one of the best "bang for the bucks" in the world of knives.
