Questions on cleaning Mnandi

I have two questions on cleaning the Mnandi, and I can't find the answers.

First, when reassembling the Mnandi after cleaning, it took me a few tries before I got everything lined up and the blade swinging smoothly, and centered. When putting the Sebenza back together CRK says to assemble and tighten all the other screws snugly before installing the blade. On the Mnandi there's only one other screw that holds the back of the knife/clip down. Do you tighten this snugly before installing the blade?

Second, the blade stop pin on mine fits very snugly into the two handles. So much so that I used a piece of plastic to pry it apart, and it took a little bit of force. I reassembled it and tried it again, thinking that after the first time it might come out easier, but its in there pretty snugly. I don't want to mess up the handles. Is there a secret to getting the two handles separated from this pin? Do the holes in the handles or the pin itself wear in after a few take-downs?

I have a Bocote Mnandi, as a companion to my Cocobolo Sebenza. I love them both, and I plan on using them and carrying them. Both are awesome and right now I can't imagine needing another knife:)

I just got a Mnandi also, and the first thing I did was tear it down to clean and inspect it, and I also noticed it's VERY hard to get it all lined up and put back together, it took me a few tries also. Def. not as easy as the Sebenza.

I found it easier to leave the bottom (only handle screw) out and assemble the blade, pivot bushing and washers onto the pivot screw first and tighten up the pivot screw first, then put in the handle screw.

My blade stop was also very snug but I think it's because of CRK's tight tolerances, I doubt it will "wear in" it'll always be that tight, which is a good thing I guess.

Hope that helps, or someone comes along with a better way.

If your having a hard time sticking the blade stop or the bottom standing/ pillar on just put a dot of grease on and it should slide on easier.
