Questions on my Randalls...

To be clear - this is not a solicitation to sell..

I was looking at three 4" Randalls with similar grinds that I have and can't ID one. This is not helped by two things...first, I bought these around 25 years ago (some things have changed) and second, my file of receipts, etc seems to be MIA. All of my Randalls were bought new from dealers - primarily Randall & Nordic.

...The biggest mystery is regarding that looks similar to an 8-4 I have. It's also 4", has a different sheath and the grind is a bit similar but the top (swedge is ground differently) No number on the back of the sheath. I could use some help identifying this knife as to the model. I cannot post photos and would rather not leave them on a public site (I use Flickr). If someone could contact me I can send some photos ...& I repeat, I am not soliciting to sell. I was active on BF for quite some time and was once a maker, but I do very little anymore except to maintain a very small collection for my enjoyment.

Contact me through the forum if you can help. Thanks

There will be variations within each model. No two are a like. The model numbers should be stamped on the sheath backs.

Jason R. helped me out. Not all sheath/model combos are marked on the back of the shealth... I have 3 particular knives & 3 sheaths & two of the sheaths got swapped accidentally (by me). One sheath has Randall stamp but no model number. Led to momentary confusion..all better now.
