I acquired this knife in a large group purchased from a friend. I've pretty much gone though what I am going to keep and have sold some of the ones I decided to let go. This Ka-Bar #1270 is one that that has me on the fence. It's a cool, well made knife (but only for a short time) with some excellent testimonials from users, but I can't warm up to the tanto style blade. My intention was to keep it as a personal survival/utility knife, but now I'm not so sure. Anyone have an opinion?

You have to use what you like and are comfortable with. That being said, we won't be making these again, or at least anytime soon. My advice: stash it away somewhere and get a knife you really like and enjoy using. Good luck.

Thanks! It's an awesome knife and all that I've heard confirms that. Maybe I should just pack it away?
