Greetings all:

Picked up this sharpening steel for $5 at an estate sale. I don't know much about these, other than I needed one and this one was made in Germany. It measures about 19 inches total, about 14 of it being steel and the marking on it says "Seelbach made in germany". Wood handle is not in great shape, I'm resisting the temptation to re-finish it.

Was wondering what this is worth and if I should do anything to clean it or care for it. May keep it, may put it on e-bay. It seems to work real well!!

On some of the olders ones I have seen they have significant rust when you should clean off and then keep them oiled. You can ask Levine about the value.
