Questions on the Condor Rodan

I am currently having fun with some new and rather inexpensive knives. I am now looking for a low priced "bushcraft" type knife. I have read some posts and comments about the Rodan and it seems to get pretty good reviews.

Here are my questions.

Is there a better knife for the price or is the Rodan the best of its kind in the $25-30 range?

Given what it is, is there any reason not to buy it?

Thanks in advance.

In my personal experience there is simply no better knife than the Rodan for the money. It cuts like a Mora but you can abuse it like a Becker. The steel is fantastic and holds an edge marvelously (I haven't had to resharpen it yet, and I've beaten the crap out of it). You can't even get a leather sheath for only $20 let alone a knife this nice.

I know! I can't wait to get my paws on that beast! They should make a piggybacking sheath for it and the Rodan. :D

Hey, just curious, what have you actually done with the Rodan? Any pics? I got one based largely on the good press that 42 blades gave it, and now I want to know how he has used it because I am not a big camper person, but I want to use it around the camp site. We are pop-up camper type people, so I was thinking of using for everyday chores like chopping vegetables or meat or for kindling, etc. Any thoughts? I was going to get a Bushlore, but it is taking a long time for the supplier and I changed my mind so nowI am waiting for the 5 inch bushcraft basics with wood handle. Still have to wait, so I am eager to hear from others how they like the Rodan, Bushlore, and Basics.

42 blades and others, any comments about how you have used the rodan? Maybe I can get some replies from some of you guys in the Wildnerness thread, just curious.
