Just a short one for you fellas.
Some questions on the Buck Taclite 885BK (RIP: 2001-2002).
Any guess as to the actually numbers produced?
Would like to know if the liners are actually titanium? Or just plain old stainless steel?
Mighty taken aback by its design.
Question. Whose design was it?
It was just so completely different from the productline back then, who would have guessed it came from Buck?
It has its design merits but I guess it came in just a little bit late into the "G-10 tactical knife" market to be an instant success.
The thing I liked about it was its dual liner lock device.
Which really was a kind of "anti accidental release" liner lock if you know what I mean.
Was wondering if it been finally patented?
And to representatives of Buck Knives reading this, would there be other models fitted with this type of locking device in time to come? If so, puh-leeze do away with those tacky holes as in the 885 !
Thank's for any replies in advance.
