Questions Regarding My First Emerson

Hi. I have been a huge admirer of these knives for years and just purchased my first here on BF. I was hoping to get an idea of when the knife was made and if there are any special needs/hints regarding upkeep. It is and Emerson CQC15, Serial #305. Thanks for the help.

The date should be on the blade.
Use it, don't abuse it. Keep it sharp, clean and the blade lightly oiled.

Any light-weight oil, like WD-40 or 3-in-1.
