Questions regarding Spyderco's rolling lock

I'm curious how the Spyderco version of the rolling lock is going to be. I saw some knives with a sliding release lever, is that the one Spyderco is using? The original lever was more than unergonomic, it was a desaster.
Another thing is, when I took my Pioneer apart to see how the rolling lock works, I noticed that the little spring which moves the realease lever back in place seems awfully weak. In addition it's bent in a very steep angle so that I wouldn't trust it to last too long. Have there been or are there going to be any changes to this? I would rather prefer a leaf spring. Because what good is a strong lock up, if the lock itself is failure prone?

Thanks,
Ralf

Ralf - Vince redesigned the RL twice thus far. We've changed the spring twice as well. Knowing Vince, I would expect additional refinements before production. Spyderco's "Military" and "Centofante" are probably two of the "rightest" Linerlocks in production. (Vince) I can guarantee that Spyderco's Rolling Lock will follow suit. We plan the Lock Module design to be able to incorporate a number of release locations and left or right hand positioning.

Sal -- speaking as a lefty, I'm very glad to know that your RL module can accomodate a left hand positioning. Thanks!

Sal -- if its not a company secret, I'd like to ask if you plan to introduce an RL Military at the BLADE Show?

Titan - it's a possibility. There is little time remaining and many "Concept Models" to prepare. I can tell you that the R&D Crew will extend their best effort.
