how is the fit and finish on victorinox knives...they're pretty cheap and i dont ant a crappy knife.

also does anybody have a crkt hisshou? what do you think of it?

The fit-and-finish of Victorinox knives is consistently excellent, an amazing fact considering that their knives are mass-produced by the thousands. The blade material is rather average, but the blade and edge shape make them exceptional for slicing and everyday cutting.

Why not shop around and pick one up that's on sale or closeout? Even if you decide that Victorinox isn't for you, it'll be a very inexpensive education. I just bought a PocketPal last month at ACE Hardware for $4.50...

There are SAK available for as little as $12. No reason not to try one and see what it's like, at that price I'd hardly call that a risk. Bob W is right, great F&F on the knives, they are like little razoe blades.
My question is, what would you want a SAK for? They do make great keychain knives.

i've only had experience with a couple Victorinox. their "swiss army knives" feel decent enough, to me, but the multi-tool i bought my son (Victorinox) SCREAMS quality. i've had a couple other multi-tools, but will buy V's from now on.

Simply put the fit and finish and quality in general of every victorinox product I’ve ever handled have been equal or better then products costing 5-8 times more.

I have a Victorinox Huntsman that's been my EDC for close to 20 years.
The only problem I've had with it was 2 years ago when abusing it while building a house, I snapped the sawblade. Even the scissors are still sharp enough to slice me open if I'm stupid/careless around them.
and this model still costs less than $30.
Pretty good testament to quality and value, I think.

The old style Victorinox alox (aluminum) soldier is in my opinion, the greatest knife value on the planet. Everyone should own this knife. When you hold it in your hand, you will see. It is on a short list that includes my Sebenza and Busse Game Warden as my favorite knives.

Buy one now before they become harder to find as they were discontinued in 2008.

I have several SAK's and love them all. The quality and versatility makes them a great EDC. I've never had a problem with any of them. The newer models with the larger frame fits my hand better, check them out, you'll love them.

thanks for all the replys. I went ahead and orders a vic secretary for a more dressy knife..will do a review probebly
