Hey, I just bought a Sebenza 25 with micarta. Love the knife. I have a question though about the blade travel on this. I know that the detent is normal just opening the knife from a closed position. On mine, about half way through rotating the blade to it's locked position, the tang comes into contact with the stop pin giving a little bit of resistance.

Question is this normal? The knife is in brand new condition and this is my first CRK. Hoping that there isn't any issue with it so far. If someone can give some insight that would be great.

The stop pin on a 25 has a flat spot on it. The flat spot has to be in the correct position so the blade can clear it. It is possible for the stop to move and get out of place.
You can either take it apart and reposition the stop pin so it clears the blade. The trick is to make sure you don’t move it on re assembly.
Make sure the stop pin screws aren’t loose, that may be the reason it moved. I don’t know if you can move it without taking it apart. Maybe a small, thin needle nose pliers to see if it will move.
If you take it apart, one of the washers have a tab that fits in a hole. That’s so the washer doesn’t move. Be careful not to bend the tab out of place. The first time taking one apart is always the most intense. After a few times, it’s no big deal. As long as you take your time you’ll do just fine.

You're absolutely right! Just dug into it and what you explained is exactly what had happened, loose stop pin screws. Knife is silky smooth now. Much appreciated!
