Quick Bruckmann question

A friend recently showed his Bruckmann knife in a bag with the label "1890s period, hand forged."

If I'm not mistaken, E. Bruckmann first started making knives with the bridge logo in about 1920. Does anyone have a Goins Encyclopedia handy to double-check the date?

Also, the blades aren't "hand" forged, but "hammer" forged, right?

Just wanted to double-check before I passed on the information about my friend's knife to him.

Just to clarify, the knife in question is ~not~ a current eBay item.

Goins book lists Bruckmann 1891-1956. There is a diagram of the Bridge logo (1920) but it does not say when the logo was first used. I don't know the answer to the hand vs hammer forged question. Sorry not much help.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. The production dates are very helpful, and I should buy that Gions book myself some day.
