Looking for a Busse (or perhaps a SwampRat, but would prefer INFI) with a 6-7 inch blade that is full flat grind. Would also like a "tall" blade (such as the ESEE-6). I would also prefer one without a finger choil on the blade but definetely not a deal breaker.

What models of Busse fit this description? Thanks in advance guys. I ask because I just picked up an ESEE-6 and love everything about it but 1095 doesn't excite me much.

Thanks again!

SFNO, Special Forces Natural Outlaw

NOe and SHe, Natural Outlaw E handle, Steel Heart E handle

Satin Jack Tac, my favorite of the bunch

ASH-1 is tall and flat, but has a choil.

Tank Buster is choil-less, but has a saber grind and isn't that tall.

SFNO or NMSFNO. Both a broad blade. But both do have a choil. You could get a BOSS Jack, 6" with no choil, but it is not a broad blade, nor flat ground.

Choilless Boss Jack CG or Proto

The Boss Jack with Red/Black G-10 is a Combat Grade, the other one is from a show that features the original Prototype grind.

I've never owned a choil-less Busse, and nothing against those who like them, but to me a Busse just doesn't look right without one; even if its just the small sharpening choil. Different strokes for different folks, I know. But keep those choils coming!

Actually, the Boss Jack's which were sold in the last ganza sported a full flat grind. Not too sure why they changed this over from the full convex (CG) and Half Height Convex (some of the Prototypes), but these are pretty thick behind the edge so maybe this could be why? Maybe Garth or Jerry will come along and provide an explanation for why the grind has changed for the newer Boss Jack's.

That being said, I do believe at this point that a full flat grind is likely the ideal choice for thick knives (.187" and up) that need to remain versatile. Seems it works pretty well for the NMFSH and ASHBM at .33" thick.

Thank you people! You guys are awesome. I was looking for that link with all the specs too.

The search is on now....

I agree with you about the looks. I bought a Tank Buster sans choil because everyone had been begging for it and I thought I would give it a try. It is easily my least favorite knife.

Did the OP ever find the link he wanted? Try here for some ideas: http://www.badmojo.net/

Yeah Robocarullo posted the link with all the specs. But that badmojo.net site is awesome! Thanks!
