Greetings you all:)

We all know SAKs are famous for their rigidness and lack of play.

However I bought 3 different Classics from two different on line shops NIB (1 Alox and 2 Cellidor) and on all 3 of them they had (or soon devellopped) significant wobble in the nail file/SD.
The knife and scissors are still rock solid.
Furthermore I haven't even used the file as a screwdriver let alone pryed (sp?:o) with it.
Maybe this is common on the Classic?

Just curious.

Thanks for reading

Some of my Classic SDs have a little side-to-side blade play but I wouldn't call it significant and it's about the same on all the tools (not just the file/screwdriver). It's not really noticeable unless I'm checking for it.

I just checked a brand new one I have on standby. It has a bit of play in the SD blade. Not a heck of a lot, but some.

I don't mind sideplay. I think of it like the rattling of a well used 1911, just makes sure theres clearence in the parts for some dirt and still work well.

Thanks a lot you guys
For a moment I was a little bit afraid I bought some lemons.

Ya know, that's one thing about Victorinox. It doesn't matter. Just use the heck out of that puppy, and if it breaks send it back and they send you a new one.

Victorinox and Buck have such an ironclad factory backing that I just don't worry about it.
