Managed to get out for a little bit today
Here's a little pic of the area
I wanted to make some bannock today so the first thing I needed was a fire, Rathere than scrounging around, I deciede to emply IA woodsmans 1 stick fire technique
started out with this
which turned into this
Which became this
using only this,,, (sorry Tony)
once the fire was going it was time to make lunch,, I mised some water into the bannock mix I prepped at home, and spreadit out on a flat rock.. While that cooked I put up some pine needle tea
add a little soup to that and its a lunch fit for a king
after lunch I decided to makes some char cloth using an altoids tin, and some pieces of old denim
unfortunately I couldn;t find any decent sparking rocks where I was, so I tested it with a ferro.. (worked great) I'll try it with real flint now that I;m home next chance I get.
all in all not a bad way to spend a Weds.
almost forgot the obligatory blade shot.
