I just wanted to share this quick fix that I put together with what I had around. I am using a Kärcher WD3 (shop vac with ash can that I got from local classifieds) and a bike stand I had lying around. Plastic drainage pipe and a 90 degree adapter. I wouldn't have it in a professional shop but it's a quick fix for a hobby shop and its CHEAP. :)

For now I am using it only for handle work, the "trash box“ is an ash can with a small mash net on the uptake. It is done for vacuuming ash from a fire place.I might do another plastic box for the handle work and add a divider and water to the ash can to have a regular spark bong.

I was really astonished how good it works. I did a large wooden serving board and ground off all the edges on the 60 grit belt and the collection picked up 99 percent of the wood dust.

I mean the cardboard box in the corner full of trash.

Oh sorry, I didn't think of that, I just put it there when I was making order in the shop, but I realize now it's not a good position. A dedicated metal trash can would be even better (will go on the top of the to do list), but I take care with oil rags and similar.
