I am assuming that when I dry my knives with a hair dryer, although they get too hot for skin contact, that I am still nowhere near damaging their heat treatment, correct?

Thanks.

Hi MrZ. For most of the higher quality steels (AUS6/440A & up) you would have to get into the 250+ degrees F (for more than a few minutes) in order to affect heat treat. Try an oven thermometer under your dryer to see some type of temperature range created.
