Quick Help!! Dozier or Fehrman

The wife has given the ok for a V'day present. I am wanting a small all purpose camping and hunting knife. I am trying to choose between a Fehrman Peacemaker and either a Yukon or White river Dozier (unless you have another suggestion.) Thanks for the quick help!!!

Either one would be a fine choice. If it's all purpose, I'd go with the Fehrman. 3V and D2 are fairly neck and neck in terms of edge holding, at least from what I've seen. The Fehrman is sturdier, the Doziers are hollow ground and you'll have to be a little more careful with them. I think the ergonomics on the Fehrman are better also, as well as not having slick handles like the Dozier.

I have the Peacemaker, and also a Dozier K19, Delta Traveller, Arkansas Traveller, and Personal Utility. So it's not like I don't like Doziers... I tend to like them more for specific purposes, though.

You'll like it, I'm sure. Personally, I love both choices here. The Dozier would be a better slicer and dicer, but the Fehrman is going to be the better all purpose knife, in case you have heavy duty stuff in mind.
