Can someone tell me about this? Is it considered a BM-E? Is it an early BM before Busse started marking all their Knives? No markings what so ever. Thanks

it is a bme.

there were several incarnations. most were coated black with black micarta scales. some had logos and polished spines. some were sterile.

there were scale and coating variations as well. tan, like yours, blk paper, snakeskin, etc.

this is true for the whole ergo line.

Man I wish I could have found that!!! I been wanting one of those for a LONG time...

The early ones I have are smooth coat, the crinkle showed up a bit later.

Nice score !

How thick is it? I have one that's very similar but it's a ZT (zero tolerance) version--very thin and was told that only 12-15 were made with the black coating (smooth) and were offered in a single ganzaa. They also have a swedge at the tip of the spear point.

WSI ranger (zoomed the page,,,,it's very readable @ 200%,,,lol)

Yes, thats what it is. Can't remember which company made this.

ETA: O.K. I was curious and had to dig out an old issue of American Survival guide. WSI ranger was designed by Chris Janowsky founder of WSI, and built by Mike Fuller at Tactical-Ops USA.
