Also, if you want to buy one, your chances would be better if you looked for and contacted someone that has familiarity purchasing African-origin hunting weapons, and has knowledge of tribal tools. In any case, not for General Knife Discussion.
 
Museum Replicas/Atlanta Cutlery sells them.
I have one that I mounted on a nice hickory shaft about 3 foot long.
Once sharpened, they make for a very nice short thrusting spear.

Or you can make one for yourself, starting with the hewing spear from Windlass Steelcraft.
 
If originals are an option you might check these guys out. They're one of the most reputable sources around for African and Indo-Persian arms and armor. Don't think this is considered deal-spotting, but if it is the mods are welcome to remove the link.
