I had seen pics of this knife and was originally totally turned off by it. All the jokes about it not opening all the way applied to me. A fellow forumite and friend, (thanks SID), offered one for a great price and I went for it. I now have to admit my first impressions were wrong. I really like this thing! Yes, the handle may be a touch slippery but it feels so good in hand. I actually like the offset cutting angle of the knife. For me the cutting angle is very natural. It is a great defensive piece also, (for which it was designed). As typical Spyderco, it "walks and talks" and locks up like a tank and again I like the aluminum handles very much because they are thin, smooth and so comfortable. To me a refreshing break from all the G-10 out there. Yeah, I was wrong. This piece is nice. I always am so thankful to Sal for giving "different" knives a go. Spyderco is the best production knife company by far!
