Quick non-permanent "wave" modification?

I know that you can "modify" some Spyderco models with a wave feature using a zip tie that works passing well, and suppose you could do the same thing by removing a Kershaw or ZT thumb stud on a flipper where the thumb stud is just an afterthought, but I noticed that a certain store carries these for quickly modifying a knife with a thumb stud (not sure if I can post the link so am just posting the product picture). I was wondering if one might do something similar to attach an Emerson wave to a ZT or Kershaw knife, with a little machining?

I mean you might be able to use it just like that, I can wave my zt 0200 with the stock thumb studs....

I was looking at my 561 and that device might fit right in one of the "jimp notches." That might give it enough purchase to wave, you're right.

Update: I was also thinking that you might be able to flatten off the forward edge of the device on a grinder to give it a little more purchase, too. Have to look at one. Anyway it would be nice to have a non-permanent way to wave that doesn't void the warranty, etc..
