quick opinion please

I've never owned/held/seen one in person but there are several folks on BFC who rave about the Lochsa. If you haven't done a search yet you may want to. I'm sure you'll find a great deal of info/opinions that way. Good luck. ;)

If you can get one of Scott Cook's knives for a good price jump on it. Impressive fit and finish and a marvel of design and engineering. You won't be sorry.

I don't think it is good form to discuss another maker's knife in a forum that is maintained by CRK. This should have been posted in the Blade Discussion Forum. Just my opinion.

Ken you have a good point. The only thing about putting it in the disscussion area is that there seem to be a number of Sebenza haters out there (Cliff Stamp and Brownshoe come to mind) that seem to bash the Sebenza regardless of the topic. The folks that frequent the CRK forum at least seem to be open minded and civil to each other and may offer Bulldog a more balanced opinion. I think St. James said it well. I have both and the Sebenza see's over 99% of pocket time. Those of you that know me know that most of my CRK folders cost a fair amount more than the Lochsa. Don't get me wrong, the Lochsa is a great knife and the quality is right up there with the Sebenza. With all due respect to all parties involved, I would not feel comfortable making the statement that one is of higher quality than the other. I'm real fond of the CRK inlays. I say get em both!  ;) :p

I think he was Shop Foreman for at least a few years:confused: ........correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree that a mention of someone else here won't get out of hand. I will say I don't think the quality of a Lochsa is less then a sebenza, possibly more. My issue is I don't agree with the design of certain aspects of it. It's just my opinion.

I meant no disrespect by asking a question about the Lochsa knife in the CRK forum. I thought this was the place to get a comparison to the Sebenza best. I will be sticking with my Sebenza, no Lochsa in my future.
