So today I went out for a couple hours in my moms backyard to play around for a bit, and I tried out the BK2 that I borrowed from OREGON FAL'ER. So anywho, here we go!

This is the sheath that was with the knife he lent me, I kinda liked it, since it was on my back and out of the way, however I couldn't wear it with my back pack, which I didn't like as much.

Just cutting some stuff....

Had to try batoning with it of course, I just did a small tree, there wasn't a lot of larger stuff laying around.

Easy as pie! I have to say this is the best knife for batoning out of the stuff I have played with.

The 2 and my 9 together <3

I also like to shoot stuff.

So, my conclusion:
To be honest, The BK2 is not my favorite knife, unless it comes to batoning. I think it's too big for me, I don't know if it's the width or the weight or what, but it was SO big. I mean, the 9 is big, but I'm using that for chopping and shoveling and poking and stuff, where the 2 I wanted to use it for smaller stuff but I think I'd rather use a 10 if I had to go with that size, or just my 11, which I use a lot. So yeah, I do think it made me even more excited for the tweeners, which should be more my size.

The handles on that 2 are painted with Krylon Fusion paint, and it seemed to be pretty sweet, I may have to do that with my handles as well!

THE END!

Great review and ditto on the shooting stuff sentiment! As I've still not received my BK2 yet, can you tell me how the sheath attaches to the belt? Or post a pic of the backside of the sheath?

The 2 is a beast no doubt about it. I just love the weight and feel of it though, chopping and batoning is a breeze. All the small work is more difficult, I use the 11 for this as well. The tweeners will be the perfect answer, I can't wait.

I am not home at the moment but I'll try to get a snapshot with my cell phone in a bit.

Cool. I think that guys forget that women may at times be more comfortable with a smaller knife. My wife is that way anyway. But I know better than to make generalized assumptions.:)

I like the look of the painted grivory. I thought about painting mine with fusion, but I figured the BK2 sheath would wear the paint off. Nice pics, btw, thanks for sharing. Chicks with guns are cool.

Sooooo ... are those the standard issue west coast shoes, for gun touting, Beckerhead chicks in the woods ? Nice ! ... Not. (Just funnin')

2 is a monster blade no dought. But seems I always go with the 9, (just works for me). For a smaller blade been using an ESEE 4 lately.

Looking forward to trying the the tweeners though.

Do those keds come with batteries or are they solar ... yuk, yuk ,yuk, (Ok, ok, I'll stop)

Cool pics and write up - thanks! The heft of the BK2 was the second thing that drew me to that knife (the first being the handle). It's weird though, isn't it, that the BK9 seems to feel livelier than the BK2?

I don't know if it's a woman thing, or just a me thing, I am sure there are plenty of ladies that would love the BK2 if they had the chance to feel it's beefyness.

don't even lie. I know you liked it. :D.

I did, I just didn't instantly fall in love, maybe it's an over time thing :)

I feel the same about the 9. I just HAVE to chop everything down with it! It doesn't give me a choice!

sweet, it looks like the same style as the rigger belt. those belts are awesome! You can repel with them!

Ha ha Jealous ? ... not so much. :)

And awesome wasn't the "first" adjective I thought of ... :D (Kidding ! Just kidding)

Anyway - back on topic. More I use the 2 more I like it. Just seems I've been carrying the 9 more with something else, like a Mora or the ESEE 4.

Looking at a couple others too. Fallkniven F1 and an ENZO trapper (liking those Scandi grinds lately)

.357 and a BK 2 eh ? "Holy Hardware Batman!" (lol)

Looks like a fun outing. I have a feeling that if you spent more time with and if it was yours and not a loaner you would like it much more.

how is the fusion paint holding up while doing in and out of the sheath

love that OD color and the blade looks bad ass
