I won't ramble on about this thing, other than to say that I'm a fan of Maxpedition and this new EDC Pocket Organizer nicely fills a niche in the lineup. Competes favorably with the County Comm and other flavors of similar organizers, and provides a very durable pouch either for EDC by itself, or used to drop in another man bag.

Here's a shot of a few items just to demonstrate size and capacity: Olight M20 Warrior, Altoids PSK, Atwood keyton, Memory stick, Vic Explorer, monocular, pen and Sharpie, pair of screwdrivers, cash, magnesium firestarter and sparkmaker (hidden), and Moleskine notebook (hidden). This pretty much loads it up, though it can still easily be closed. Lays flat, which is a big deal to me - it would be a dealbreaker if it did not. I think its a little big for cargo pants pocket carry, but to each his own. Overall, its a little on the spendy side, especially when you add shipping, but its built to last and I'd rather drop a few extra bucks on something thats made to last instead of a cheapy pocket organizer that can't handle the pressure. I've never heard of anyone wearing out a Maxpedition product, and I doubt that this will be the first to do so.

$21.99 direct from Maxpedition, though you can save a couple of bucks if you wait for these to populate to vendors.

Nice pics powernoodle.

What color is that? The foliage green has gray trim... I guess it's khaki?

I want to move my PSK from a Pelican 1010 box to one of these because: it's a lot more compact, thinner, and has a lot of pockets for organization. It looks really well made.

This one is khaki. Some of my Maxpedition purchases are black, but I just like this khaki flavor better.

I've got the Spec-Ops and County Comm versions. This Maxped looks good. I specially like the multiple size stretch holding slots. TAD Gear has a "next size up" OP1 Pouch with a similar design that I use for a med kit. It's an upgrade from the Spec-Ops Dry-Cell On Board organizer.

Thanks for the pics. It looks good. I had the Countycomm version, and it was handy, but cheap. Pretty much fell apart after about a year. I've still thought of buying another, but looks like Maxpedition will get a little more of my money.

powernoodle, what brand/model is the yellow and black monocular in your second photo? What is the magnification power? Thanks for posting.

Its an Eagle Optics 7x18. Never heard of this brand, but it actually works well and lets you reach out there with your eyeballs and see things you would otherwise miss. Pretty handy.
Link.

It doesn't get tossed around a lot. I have a knife care kit in it, just a few basic items mostly sharpening. But poking around the materials and stitching, it looks pretty sturdy.

sweet powernoodle, do you know how these compare to the other line-up of EDC pouchs from Max?

Also, have you tried carring it on the belt? is it too heavy?

I think the EDC Pocket Organizer is way too big for belt carry. Not to say that it couldn't be done, but I wouldn't do it.

I have also an M-2 and M-5. I posted a very short look at the M-2 somewhere, but can't find it. Think its buried in UnknownVT's EDC thread. Its a nice size, but I have a hard time carrying anything bigger than a biscuit on my belt. You can carry a good amount of stuff with the M-2:

M-2

The M-5 also work on the belt, but its just too big for me. Its bigger than the M-2, and gets no use. Again, others might carry it on their belt, but I won't.

The EDC Pocket Organizer is ideal in a jacket pocket or tossed in a pack, to keep all of the small gear together. This way, if you do or do not carry a pack or a briefcase, you can toss the organizer wherever it's convenient, without going through all the gear inside to decide what goes with you today.

Police carry all that gear on their belts, and I have yet to meet one who liked it.

Ah, I was wondering how people were using those pocket organizers. I could tell from the dimensions that it's too big for a pocket and it didn't look like it would ride on a belt well.

I carry around a gearslinger, so I don't have a need for one of these pocket organizers. But I can see how people who switch between laptop bags, backpacks, jackets, etc. would find one handy.

That looks like a very handy thing to toss into my courier-style work bag, or into the tank bag or luggage case of my motorcycle.
