To check up on the kids & pick up my brand spankin new Becker BK5. Headin back to the campsite in a little while, to test it out. Initial thoughts are: this may be a favorite of mine---along with the BK10. It feels light & lively & factory edge shaves paper like nobody's business. I am impressed. It may be the first knife ever that i don't have to sharpen ...right away anyway. I'll take some pics & post up when i get back. I friggin LOVE the choil !!! It (the choil) may not get used all too often, but makes it like 2 different knives in one. I am very glad they kept it on the tweener version too. Gotta go. :D

Congrats on the MagCamp. Man, this knife is growing on me, fast. I been using it more in the kitchen, just because I can. Made Mac M Cheez the other night. Used the BK5. Cause I can.

Thats some funny stuff right there !!! LMAO----Cause i can !!!

Well, I gotta say, i love this knife. It was & is, by far, the sharpest Becker i have gotten yet (factory edge). I feather sticked & batoned some firewood with it, about 4-5 pieces, & it still shaves paper/hair. I am not easy on my knifes, but i feel, that i don't abuse them either. I broke 2 baton sticks over 4 days, if that tells you anything. The choil REALLY makes the BK5 like 2 different knives in one. Enough chat, here is some pics.

There was knot in this piece. I had my doubts, but no harm-no foul !

This will be mostly a kitchen knife for me also, but i wanted to see if it lived up to it's name "Magnum Camp". I feel that it does so with flying colors. So far, (IMHO that means nothing really), the entire Becker line has hit the ball out of the park & made a home run, with each & every knife. Am i biased ? NO, i simply love things that work & work well, for a reasonable price.

Sweetness. I've told myself I will wait for the passaround but these reviews are making it harder to wait....

Nice!! I wanna get one too, but I'm not going to until after the pass-a-round :D Try before you buy. :D
