quick question about ao??

hey everybody.....i have a "needs work folder" and it is great.....the action of the ao is different than when i first got it....when i first recieved it opened smooth and fast....when i would got to close it there was tension in the blade that wanted to keep it open.....i would assume this is normal....when i ope in now....the trigger thing that you flip is a little stiff and when i got o close it there is not that much resistance on it.....it can stay open in like an l shape with the blade half open....i would assume it's the torsion bar or something.....any advice.....i wanted to try and avoid sending it in but........ryan

so the AO is not working anymore? try cleaning to pivot area and re lubing, dont forget the ball detent. no tension while closing sounds like a broken torsion bar. dous it rattle when you shake it?

it does rattle when open....is this fixable myself or should i send it in to be fixed.....keep in mind i don't even know what a torsion bar looks like let alone fixed one.....ryan
