Quick question about Kershaw Offset for those who owns/owned them

I just got a kershaw offset and first thing I noticed was the locking mechanism did not extend fully back, leaving a gap big enough to see through to the other side. When I disengage the lock and finger (for lack of better word) the lock itself, it's loose and looks like the spring is weak? Or is that the intended design? My Kershaw Mojito snaps into place fully.

I would like to know before I either keep it or return it back to previous owner.

The Kershaw Offset in question is the Splash Offset.

Thanks!

Is there blade play? It doesnt need to go all the way back, id personally prefer id didnt. The stud should have some play in it, at least the dozen or so stud locks I have had all had some wiggle when the lock is not engaged. Everything you describe is how it should function. As for a weak spring, I can't comment b/c I have no idea of what your idea of weak is, but if the spring can move the lock into place then it is strong enough.

I own an Offset, but I'm having a little trouble understanding exactly what you are having an issue with. Maybe a pic might help.

I did notice that on my Spec Bump, that the lock would get sticky if the plastic insert that sits in the hole on the blade (where the little ball sits) would sit off-centered (that is, not flush with the flats of the blade, as in pushed out just a bit.)

Here's the picture.

Pictures really do make a world of difference when describing "whatchamacallits, thingamahwhizzers, and whathaveyouz". That lock up is fine IMO, if you send it back you may never get a chance to own another as they are discod. If you are concerned, email the picture to Kershaw support and ask them what they think, wouldn't hurt.
