Quick question about my peanut

Greetings you all:)

Of course I noticed it the first time I took it out of it's box, but I'm really curious right now.
Both of the blades are off centered to the scale side with the main blade almost(but not just yet) rubbing the liner.
Is this normal on multi bladed traditional slipjoints?
Besides that it's one heck of a little knife though:thumbup:

Is this a new knife? I not sure I'd say it isn't normal but it certainly isn't rare. Personally, I know in most cases the blades being off center in no way impact the operation of the knife. It still annoys me.

I own two Case peanuts. One of them has off-centered blades, the other is perfectly centered. I think it's just a matter of luck really. And yes, the off-centered peanut works just as well as the other.

"Normal"? What is this "normal" of which you speak? ;)

Are they designed that way? No. Are they intentionally manufactured that way? No. Is it unusual to see this in production slipjoints? No. Buy four more just like it and odds are, one will have centered blades. It won't work any smoother or cut any better, but it will look better in your pocket. Whether you can see it there or not. :D

And before you all decide to flame me, I warned him about this stuff before he bought his first slippie. ;)

And when it is a Case yella in CV it is fine, but when it is a S&M in Stag you send it back!!

Yup, he most certainly did. :D
Thanks for your straight forwardness Yab
Most of the time I get too anal about "just" a tool.
But then that's the way I am and I'm afraid that won't change completely :o

I'd say if it means enough to you to send it back to one company, you should send back to any company. Especially within the top/popular USA companies. The less complaints on that 'error'(any error) and the more common it will become.
