So I got this OD-1 at Walmart. I don't shop at Walmart because it's too far away but I made the trip just to grab this knife. It is impressive. I like the size.....the materials...everything. For $40.....I'm not sure you can beat it.

My question is.....my flipper is loose. It moves up...down...and side to side. This isn't a big deal at all...the knife functions perfectly. Is this movement normal? If it is not.....who knows how to fix it? I'm all about taking stuff apart. :)

That's the nature of this particular flipper morrowj_98. They are all like that.

Thanks Thomas. This is my first flipper of any kind.

This one is winner for sure. How is Kershaw putting these out at this price point? However it is happening.....well done. This model is a home run. My oldest son (he's 14) just claimed the one I bought today so I guess I'm going back for a few more.

I wholeheartedly agree. The od-1 is IMHO a perfect EDC for the price point.

A little of here but I figured I should mention it. I beleive I have created a new kershaw fan in my best friend. He had been usig a cheap chnese knife for a while, and I got him a combo edge leek and he loves it. Told me he will never leave home without it.

The OD-1 is my first flipper as well as my first real knife, and I must say, I love it. It deserves all the praise it is getting, especially at the price point. This thread shows it taken apart and explains the flipper movement: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6456656&postcount=56.
