Quick question about the SOG Tech Bowie.

I'm planning to buy this knife, but I have a question about it, or SOG's bowies in general. I have owned a SOG Seal 2000, two Seal Pup Elites and a SOG Seal Pup Seki and they have all taken extreme abuse when it comes to batoning, hardwood etc. Their tips have held up.

I have noticed that the faceted tips on SOG's bowie knives are kinda delicate? Have any of you guys who really use your knives experienced tip breakage out of the ordinary with for example the Tech Bowie? I haven't seen either the Tech or the Bowie 2.0 in real life.

The tips are delicate because they are fighting knives. They are designed to penetrate flesh.

Bowies are fighters. Not "outdoors/camping" knives.

Unless your outdoors activities involve covertly deanimating a deer.
