I found this, and the seller states that it is new and unused in the box. Going by what I could find, it's a 2008 Bulldog Brand Saddlehorn, 3 7/8" closed. Should I pick this up if it's under $50? I like the looks and the size, but I don't know much about the brand and cannot find a danged thing about the knife model itself.

I had a bulldog trapper that did the exact same thing to me. it wouldnt show up on any lists whatsoever. it looked just like this coon celluloid, or whatever it was called, in a series that was dated around, 1995, around that time period, but the trapper didnt show up anywhere. weird.

by the way, if thats celluloid, you need to keep it separate from your other knives, celluloid can be nasty sometimes.

It looks like it's likely to be "corelon", which seems to have many of the same properties.

eh? I'm not following.
Did you mean, "Corelon looks like celluloid"? It can look like some types of celloloid.

or did you mean, "Corelon decomposes like celluloid"? It can't. It does not decompose the same way.

Late production Bulldog. We're not suppose to discuss prices in this forum. Google > Images > Bulldog Knives. Also, there's a lot of info to be had in the Search section of this forum - maybe Bulldog Knives.

It was one of Bulldog's newer patterns, but a very nice one. Well worth $50 as the genuine German steel is getting harder to find. They are right in line with Eye Brand.

Here's mine, but currently undergoing a re-haft at Casa Glennbad. It was sold to me as Cell so I've been suspicious of it, can't stand the streetwalker red lipstick colour either:D:barf: But, it's a decent knife, well put together, unusual and with a nice stamped carbon blade that will get keen. Worth going for I'd say.

How's the ergonomic / carry profile? It looks kinda large and wider than I though it was from the reference pictures I've seen so far.

Maybe I should wait until my Case Ebony Lanny Clip comes in before I start eyeing other larger clip points... I kinda like the sweep of the blade on the Bulldog, but the handle material would make me sketchy about storing / carrying it.

Actually, I think I just talked myself out of it.
