I got this knife from another forum member and when I recieved it today, I realized that it was not bearing the traditional "Idaho" stamp. Date was july 2010, and the scales are stamped B 10 on the inside (both sides). I know there are some out there without the stamp, but i was not sure in what year(s) that occured. This knife is going to be a gift so i am just double checking to make sure that it is genuine and original.

Thank you for any information, it would be helpful.

Late 2010, around October I believe, was when the IM stamp started. Yours looks genuine.

It's genuine, no worries. I am one of the ones that actually like the Idaho Made stamp. Wether it's there or not doesn't bother me. But I do understand your cause for concern. What a great gift this will make.... WOW...!!!

I was just curious, the seller was very good to deal with and his honesty was not it question at all, however my newer sebenza has the stamp. I dont care either way. I think too, that it will make a great gift.

Thanks for the info!

My 21 with a DOB of 6/10 has no stamp. My Nyala from 2012 has the engraving, however.

My 2010 annual has the stamp, it was from October so it was one of the first

...and the birthcard looks genuine to me... Heck, I think you got a good one. I've never had one without the stamp.
