Quick question on an older benchmade

Got a mini grip here, 154CM version with box and papers. What is that symbol next to the blade steel?


I did notice that this blade is extra extra sharp...sharpest I've ever seen from the factory!

Appreciate any info.

Looking at it indirectly looks like BK

IIRC, it was a marking to indicate their BK1 black coating which they used awhile back.

It's BK. Short for BenchKote I think. That was on all coated blades for a few years.
