Quick question on Ken Onion belt sharpener

I'm at a local hunting store and I came across the knife and tool belt sharpener ken onion addition.

My question is that I have two CRK sebenzas and I sharpen them on my spyderco tri anglw sharpmaker, but this makes it hard to maintain CRK's convex edge. The belt sharpener makes it easy to maintain a convex edge. Have you guys had good experiences with this sharpening system? My only worry and what is holding mw back from purchasing it, is that I don't want it to damage my sebenzas.

What do you guys think? It has adjustable belt speed to prevent burning the edge.

I find that with the way i use it, the sharp maker creates a slight convex edge. It's never a perfect 30 and 40 degrees, it's always leaning towards convex. Could just be me ofcourse.
Other than that belt sharpener you could use sandpaper and mousepad.

I have seen posts from people who have used it on Sebenzas with good results. You might check the maintenance forum for additional threads with info.

I have sharpened a sebenza on mine, with nice results. It is quick and easy to use, but I find it easier to use stones for reprofiling. I would recommend it!

I don't mean to hijack this thread so I'll keep it simple, how were the results of sharpening the Sebenza on the sharpmaker? Have you considered reprofiling them or has maintaining the convex edge (albeit difficult) been successful?

I just got the sharpmaker and have had fantastic results thus far but have concerns about sharpening a Sebenza on it.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition. Since it puts a slight convex on a blade I don't see why it wouldn't work very well. But I have no experience with that situation so take what I say with a grain of salt.
