Quick question: RC-3 rattle in stock sheath?

Hi all - been playing around with my RC-3mil a lot and noticed that although it locks into its sheath securely (and wont pop out unless pulled), it slightly rattles and is not at all as solidly locked as my RC-4 sheathed...

Is this normal? I know I'm being picky but just wondering...

On a side note, received my DT RC-4 and Izula today and think I am set in the knife department for YEARS! Seriously, they are amazing.

Hey Bro, that's kind of the nature of the beast with the IM sheaths. They have to be left a bit big to allow for slight deviations in handle thickness.

I had a CRKT fixed blade that had really severe rattle. I dipped the lower half of the sheath in almost boiling water and gave it a squeeze near where the tip of the blade would go and it fixed the problem, but it also slightly discolored the plastic.

If you have good retention and the knife doesn't feel like it's going to fall out, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hi Shotgunner - thank you very much for the response. That's what I figured but thought I give the question a thought.

Man do I love how tight the RC-4 sheath is and my izula is MOLLEd to my belt at the small of my back. Just awesome.
