I haven't been able to find it elsewhere....just curious what a Krein regrind usually costs for a folder (4inch blade or less) and if its possible to have it come back without his mark on it.

Thanks

If you click on his username you can shoot him an email/pm. I hesitate to speak for him, although his prices are very reasonable.

$35 + shipping is the standard price as far as I know, and you can definitely get it without the mark.

Yep! Thats pretty much it. ZDP-189 and S60V adds $10.00. Reprofiling adds $10.00 No need for the logo, its optional.

Is your grind a convex? I have seen your regrinds across many forums. But dont know that I have seen what type of grind you do. I just know that it is sharp!

All the Krein regrinds I've seen are full flat ground. I am glad Hammer27 asked, because I was also wondering the price and it seems very reasonable for custom work.

I've seen him do a high hollow grind(Spyderco Passaround on the Native).

Tom Krein does full flat, hollow grind, and also he has done at least one convex. All cut WAY better than factory.

I own the following models with grinds done by Tom Krein:
- Spyderco Native full convex (visiting with gunmike until the passaround begins)
- Spyderco Native full flat
- Spyderco Delica 4 full flat
- Spyderco Goddard (burgandy FRN) full flat
- Spyderco Barong full flat
- Spyderco Bill Moran FB01 full convex
- Spyderco Bill Moran FB02 full convex
- Spyderco Vesuvius high hollow
- Spyderco Caly 3 ZDP full flat (visiting with gunmike until the passaround begins)
- Spyderco Atlantic Salt high hollow

OK, but do you like his work???

Just kidding. My sharpest knife is a Delica in zdp-189 that had a full flat regrind done by Tom. That's the knife I try to match when I sharpen. I'm not there yet.
