Quick question to ESEE makers

an esee tomahawk or hatchet would be awesome! or, maybe something similar to the tops atax? i've never used that, but it seems to be a very useful tool and you can put it on whatever size handle you need for the moment.

not to derail, but has anyone here used one of those? it really looks sweet.

As much as I'm an ESEE junkie and love all of your stuff please don't get too big. One of the biggest selling points to your products are the small company feel that you guys have.

I dont mean for them to get to big, but for a knife maker to make machetes, the next logical step would be ax type tools. I think taking a look at axes the way they took a look at the HEST, would end up with a very durable and usable tool. I would really like to see something along these lines happen (I might have drawings already done (CAD Designer by trade)....

I think that a small hatchet by ESEE would have a way of just naturally finding itself strapped to my pack.......:D

We would want to do a forged head on it if we did such a beast. Something like Gransfors. GB's have gotten really high lately due to the dollar tumbling against the Euro.

I could see that happening, but want something where I would not have to worry about the handle breaking, or constantly having to shim the head so it stays on, know what I mean?

I've never had a problem with handles coming loose on propelry fitted axes and hatchets.

I just ordered a Gransfors Bruks Wildlife Hatchet. Believe me, if ESEE made a similar product, my money would have gone there, and probably sooner than it did!

Forged head? Wood handle or some other material?

We've also got Shon working on a mold for a blow-up doll but Mike and I keep disagreeing on eye color, hair color, etc.
