Looking for sanitizing wipes that are good on all materials, stainless steel, rubber handles, plastic, wood. anything, you name it. I can't seem to find one without alcohols or crap like that because it will dry the materials out, if anyone knows of any good multi-material wipes that kill germs and shit please let me know thanks.

I think if it kills germs, it's going to dry out the knife. I use knock off baush & lomb eyeglass wipes sometimes. It seems to work well. I haven't tried it on anything non-stainless yet, though.

Hmm... this never occurred to me. I don't think they make sanitizing wipes like that. Maybe the really mild baby wipes, but they contain all sorts of moisturizers and stuff that might affect the finish of materials. Why do you want these wipes?

Well I throw my steak knives in the washer but not my good knives.. when it comes to cleaning my pocket knives and such so far i'v been using an electronic wipe for monitors etc thinking they are gentle enough for screens should mean something, then a wipe down with a moist paper towel or microfiber cloth with water, but I just don't know how good electronic wipes are for it, So I was hoping there is a wipe made for this stuff just like there is for screens.

Edit: Thread closed, since no one really knows, I just am going to go with scotch-brite. I don't think that a wipe will do any damage to anything especially if i wipe it after with water and then dry it after that, these wipes also allow you to clean surfaces you would eat off of or prepare food and you don't need to rinse, my current thinking is if it is safe enough to do that it should be good to go. Also, most of the wipes out there seem to be alcohol based, or they just don't really do much ( too strong or too weak ) ( for example lysol wipes are crap ) but they are famous, but not much anti germ is going on. I'll be going with scotch-brite until a better option comes along if there are any thanks.
