Quick question!

Hi,

Quick question for you guys- Fallkniven WM1 or Benchmade Activator?
Both good makes, both good steels! Which would you get?

I beleive tha falkenknive to be the superior blade. I have never heard ill of them.

What are you using it for?

The Activator can be had in D2 and S30V. The Fallkniven is VG10.

My Thor was really sharp and a good slicer, so I'd assume the same of the WM.

But, BM has been improving the edge on their knives of late.

The BM, if I recall, is a bit slimmer. Actually, the design is quite the universal pocket sized small fixed blade. The WM had a more filling grip.

Me, I'd go S30V Activator for around $60-$70. The can be found.

I do like the leather WM sheath, though.

I'm wanting it for a light-weight edc neck knife.I'll be in and around water though which is why I've not gone for a becker necker etc.
It may also be used for basic food prep when camping.

Fallkniven for me for me I love the VG-10 they use and I just like the overall feel of it (having held both and used the Fallkniven). The Activator is nice(especially as an edc pocket blad) I say if you can get ahold of both of em go ahead and then decide.

I just compared the two and the Wm1 is about 1 1/2 inch longer than the 210 activator. falkniven also makes a kydex sheath sheath for neck carry..if you have large hands or plan on using it a lot get the falkniven as its just more comfortable to use.
the activator is a nice knife but its quite small and may be to small for some users.

Probably a good choice. IMO the BM 210 is too small for food prep.
