My cousin was at a gun show here in Michigan This weekend. He is not a knife person but has admired a few of my rats and tried to find someone selling them at the gun show. He ran across a guy that tried to convince him that TOPS is buying blemished knives from BUSSE, SRKW and SYKW and selling them under the TOPS name. He then further tried to convince him that one of the knives that looked like my HRLM was made out of INFI. Now, I'm calling B.S. on the whole thing but I told him that I would ask those of you in the know, is it even remotely possible that any of the BUSSE family is selling blemished knives to TOPS?

I can speak with no authority from the factory. Only my own firm opinion...

ABSOLUTE BS!

I was actually plannin on being at the Gibraltar Gun and Knife show later this month in Mt. Clemens to try to sniff out some INFI.

Being in Michigan, I wouldn't be suprised at all to encounter large degrees of shenanigans. But you never know...

I'm hoping Eric will post soon, I always try to get the facts before forming an opinion, but I find it very hard to believe that a company that spends so much time on heat treat and steel would allow another company to sell it.

Oh ya, what sort of prices are we talkin here? Dirty details please!

I don't think that has any merit. That $hitty sales pitch is pretty ridiculous. And very sad:(.

YOWZA!!!!. . . Total BS from the guy at the gun show . . . Get his name next time and we'll drop the hammer on him. . . .

Thanks,

Jerry

Thanks for the reply Jerry (and everyone else).I was pretty sure it was all B.S. and unfortunately I wasn't with him to hear the entire conversation. I'll ask my cousin if he remembers the guys name. My cousin did say that he was skeptical, especially because the price of the knife he was looking at went from $180 to $110 in a 15 minute conversation.
