When the LMS was for sale by BC was it an option to have black crinkle and red G-10 handles? I was under the impression that it was, but now I've talked to some people in my hometown and they belive that it may be less common than I thought?

Thanks in advance for your info.
Just trying to learn:o

Never seen a LrMrS in that combo, but the MrS(reg meaner) was offered in that combo at the BCS a while back, early this year or late last year. They were saber at .195

This one is definetly a LrMrS. It has no markings that would show that it was made by the custom shop. I would post pics but I would have to wait for my teen age daughter to come home and show me how..... so it may be more uncommon than I originally thought?

Can you mike it? The true leaners are only .150

It could be a flat ground .170, which i call tweeners:p, but I don't remember one.
Is it a flat grind or Saber?

The org .150 true leaners were saber, and the .220 org meaner was flat.
All the .170's are flat ground and the .195's saber.

I would have to go to a local shop tommorow to measure it. By eye balling it, it seems just a tad thicker(not much at all) than my Flame Warden. When I bought it I was told that the handles were very special.....I didn't care at all about the handles then all I wanted was the mystery INFI..... now I am far more interested, (addicted) and am trying to learn as much as I can.

The Flame GW was .170.

Now we can tell without measure.
Is it flat ground like the Flame GW, or a Saber grind?

If it is a saber it will be a .195, and not that rare.

Sounds dumb but what is the differance between the two? Would it be possible to see pics og the different grinds. Thanks

The sabre grind starts about 1/3 of the way from the spine down to the edge, a flat grind goes all the way to the spine. Hope that makes sense.

Is it this one?

The top two coated .195's and the bottom Black Paper LrMrS at .150 is a saber grind.
The ones in the middle are a flat grind.

Yes it does...I also found some pics....It is flat ground. Still don't really know if it's that uncommon?

Grandsuave that is it! Is that common?

Are your sure it's flat ground? the black coating makes it hard to see were the flats meet with the grind on a Black crinkle blade.

If it is flat, it is .170 plus a bit for coating. Maybe I'm wrong and they did make a coated .170 in that combo:confused:

Grandsuave, is yours not a saber grind? The black crickle hides the flats pretty good, but it does look to have the lower plunge line of a saber the pic.
EDIT- nevermind, I see your post that it is the .195 saber out last year that I thought it was.
