What thickness is the steel used in the bushcraft blades. I picked up a second generation with extra thick scales, so its pretty much a Gen III knife. Its CPM3V. What is thickness Dan uses, and what degree does he sharpen his blades at? I sent him a PM about two weeks ago, but he has been sick and has not got back to me yet.

This blade has become one of my favorite blades

All previous versions of the bushcraft knife in 3V have been oversize 1/8"...meaning around 0.145"-0.150" thick. The 2009 version is 1/8" thick. Any bushcraft knife in any steel except 3V is 1/8" thick (IIRC).

And yes, it is 12.5 degrees per side.

Thanks!

Dan
