So it was late spring cleaning in the garage/shop this past weekend. Today I had a couple things to wrap up and the garbage to take out. I desided to use up some mats for a rack I've been needing before I threw it all away. This is what I came up with

Marbles orange with home made micarta handle mod. It actually performs rather good for a cheepo,
Cool , I bet the Micarta gives a pretty comfortable grip.
I have the 18" blade and the 14" blade scouting machete , both are excellent. They repeatedly take a beating and come back for more.
I completely reshaped the handle and tangs on mine because the shape just didn't work for me at all. Then I gave them a cotton twine wrap which I covered with beeswax , it makes for a fairly comfortable grip as well.

You guys missed the most important axe in the picture
If that hawk is the most important axe in the picture then why is it not in the rack ? ;)
I saw it there the whole time, but this post is about the rack and it wasn't in it so I didn't comment on it :D

I was looking at the Fiskars. My brother has one that went to elk camp two years ago and someone used it to level out the ground for a tent or dig a fire pit when he wasn't looking. The edge is destroyed about 3/4" back. He won't let me fix it for whatever reason...

With that group it's a "Once the cork comes out, it doesn't go back in" sort of affair...

Also, it's amazing what people will do with tools that aren't their own.

Nice rack though.

Those last 3 words evoke images of a different subject :D

Not an axe, it's a Hawk. Just wondering if some one would get the riddle. Most important one is the one that's not in the spot I made for it... Trying to deside what to buy next ;)
