I bought a 1oz bottle at a knife show on a whim since I'd never heard of it, and . . . It's amazing! I haven't had it long enough to see how long the effect lasts but I can get Rock solid lockup with frictionless-feeling action. Best lube I have experienced, at least in the short term. Am I just late to the party? Has anyone used it long-term?

I've been using Quick Release for about 4 years. I only carry slip joints nowadays so that's the only type of knives that I've used it on. I'm currently on my third needle applicator tube.

I'm not over the moon with the product or anything like that but I do like it very much and I have no desire to try anything different.

Regarding the applicator tube, the reason I'm on my third tube is because the second tube cracked while I was using it. The less lubricant that the tube has in it, the harder you have to squeeze to dispense the lube and tube is somewhat brittle to begin with.

Because of this I can't recommend the .25 oz. applicator tube. The product itself is great but I'm going to transfer the lube to a needle applicator bottle like the one pictured below when I get around to it.

Good product but the the .25 oz. tube kinda sucks.

I just bought some to see if its snake oil or not. there is virtually zero information on what it actually is composed of.

honestly seems too expensive for a lubricant.

the plastic bottle isn't great for applying it so I paid extra for an empty applicator bottle pictured above (man that's way too expensive too) to apply it better.

haven't used it yet but it seems way to runny to be that great. its not food safe either. the advertising is funny as any lube can do what it does in the YouTube videos. not sure when I'll get around to testing it.

Mo2, I edited my post above with some comments about the .25 oz. tube. I hope the one you bought is less brittle than the one supplied by the manufacture.

My 1oz bottle is different than those. I think it cost me $8? It says on the label it's specifically for knives. Haven't had it long enough for the bottle to get brittle. Bummer not food-safe but I only use a tiny drop on each side of the pivot and on my axis-lock knives they fly out so easy I keep checking to see if the pivots have loosened but they are tight.

Quick Lube works pretty well. I use it- even on my carry gun.
