Quick Release Lube?

Looking at their ads, Quick Release would seem the greatest thing since sliced bread. But we all know to take ads with a bit of skepticism.

However, it was recommended to me by a board member of the Knifemaker's Guild who spoke very highly of it.

At the Blade Show I forgot to look for it, and was even at Latama's tables but got distracted buying a couple of his stilettos...but I don't recall him even having a display for it.

I've been sort of looking for it, but none of the knife dealers I frequent seems to stock it.
Which makes me wonder if it is really the uber lube how come no one seems to stock it? Or am I just missing the obvious?

I've been using Breakfree for years on guns and knives and always have been happy with it, but I am curious if Quick Release is a superior product.

Haven't used Breakfree, but Quick Release isn't too bad. Pretty toxic though so keep that in mind.. Personally I'm a fan of Oster Blade Lube..

It's great stuff. You can order it off their web site.
I use it in my shop.

Really? Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
Don't think Breakfree is very toxic..if it was I'd be dead. Used it for years to clean/lube/protect my handguns so I've been using it on my knives.
Based on other threads its used by quite a few folks for their knives.

Thanks Bill. That's two knowledgable gentlemen who's opinion I respect that have told me it's great.
Still wonder why no one but Walt seems to sell it?

If he ever gets any 9" Latamas in I'll add it to the order.
