Quick restore of Micarta Scales

I just thought I would post a few pics of how to get some of the original grey back into your Micarta Scales if you like that look. This may not be obvious to everyone, so I thought I'd share. If your scales are black and shiny, you can simply wipe them with some handsoap and the thread in the Micarta is revealed again once they dry. They are never quite the same as new, but still changes it up a bit for fun and takes all of 30 seconds and does not require you to take your knife apart. If you take it apart and wash the scales more fully, the effect is greater.

I used to do this with my ESEE knives when the micarta got a bit dingy. Worked pretty well.

Also, windex works well too. Just spray 'em down, wipe the excess, and let dry. Works wonders when they're not too soiled.
