Well, it has been about a week and a half since I got my first HI blade. It was the BAS blem from 6/5. I've had some time to play with it and all I can say is now I know why people get addicted to HI!

First, Mr. Martino sent my blade out before he received my payment. I was stunned. That kind of trust definitely is hard to come by anymore. Secondly, it arrived in three days. There is nothing worse than ordering something and having that long wait for it to show up. With HI, that pain is lessened considerably. And finally, the khukri itself is great. I own three other (non-HI) Khukris and my new one leaves them in the dust. Not just the blade itself, but the sheath as well.

And if anybody doubts me, they can come look at my Palo Verde tree that has had a nice trimming courtesy of my BAS (and it is the first time I actually enjoyed yard work to boot!).

I thought that all I needed was one good solid khukri, but unfortunately, because of Mr. Martino and the kamis, I am now addicted. One more person fighting for the deals of the day. My wife is not happy, but I am:)

Excellent! Now you need something with a long reach like a 25" sirupati or kobra for backyard cholla removal.;)

HIKV responds well to heat. You're doomed.

Welcome to the Cantina, Mr. Burch.

You really need to hold...just hold...a 12 inch AK. Just hold it for a minute...really, it will not hurt you...you might even like it.

Welcome to the Cantina.

I am not doctor nor do I play one (unless she wants to), but it sounds like you are coming down with a good case of HIKV. There is no cure. However, resting in front of your computer while looking at plenty of pretty khukuri pictures helps, and buying an ocassional HI khukuri can relieve the symptoms temporarily.

Enjoy.

Well, as the stagecoach driver used to say to the passengers back in the old days, "hang on pardner, we ain't coming back this way again." Welcome to the cantina.

Yea, welcome to the mad house. Hope you enjoy the blade as much as I have mine. I work mine every chance I get.

I second the love of the 12" AK. a very capable knife if there ever was one. And, lucky me with one by Bura too.

Welcome to the Psycho Ward, as Yvsa would say. :D

I suspect that one K won't be enough if you're anything like the rest of the nuts on this forum. :D

Kinda like Lays Potato Chips. Ya can't have just one! Enjoy HIKV and welcome to the asylum(Cantina).:D ;) :) :D

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm enjoying this forum more and more everyday that goes by.

But just so you all know, the technical term for everybody here is "enablers" or "facilitators";) Thanks for feeding my growing addiction.

Hmmm, 12" AK needs to go on the to buy list. What else.......
