Quick sheath for the BG WTF

So the WTF was too much for the cardboard sheath and destroyed it. I was going to make a quick and easy kydex sheath but I used the last I had for my battle saw. I had enough leather to make a quick pouch sheath for it. It turned out ok for my 2nd leather sheath I ever made lol. I'm still planning on making a better one but this was a last minute thought before we went camping this weekend so I whipped one together. I apologize for the picture quality I snapped a few pics over lunch break. I didn't bother taking the saran wrap off for pics but it was on to protect the knife while shaping and finishing the sheath.

Can't see the burnished edge too well in the pic but it's nice and smooth.

Good stuff man! Did you drill or punch the stitch holes?

For a big fella like that you can make a baldric attachment pretty easily.

Probably didn't need that retention strap on there but I didn't think it'd hurt anything either.

Thanks! I drilled the holes I figured that would be the easiest way. The leather is pretty thick (I think 9-10 Oz is what I have). I think I will make a baldric for it. It does fit on my belt but I think a baldric would make it alot easier to carry.

Love seeing the homemade sheaths. Something I just never got the hang of. Much respect for those of you that can work leather. I guess I amjust not that handy with the stuff.

Nice sheath! A person would never guess that was your second sheath!

Nicely done - thanks for the pictures.

Nice job Pykrim... I was thinking along similar lines for mine. I just got lazy this weekend and didnt apply myself!

Thanks everyone! I wanted to make a nice stacked leather sheath for it but then decided to go with the pouch style. It turned out better than expected. I still have enough left over to make one for my dtbm I just got from my grab bag so I think I'm going to make another for it.
